Vastu and Astrology
Asked most often
Is Vastu applicable to existing buildings?
Yes. A large part of VASTRO®'s work is with buildings that already stand. The structure is studied as it is, along with its orientation, zones, entrances, functions and spatial relationships, and corrections are then recommended within that framework.
Can Vastu corrections be made without demolition?
Frequently, yes. The existing structure is studied before anything is recommended, and wherever practical the object is to work with the space rather than to call for demolition or reconstruction. Sometimes a structural change is the only adequate correction. Where it is, that is what we say.

What information is required for a Vastu consultation?
A floor plan or site plan with dimensions and orientation, a photograph of the main entrance, the direction of the plot as measured with a compass, and the date, place and time of birth of the primary occupant where Astro Vastu is being considered. For industrial sites, the layout drawing and process sequence are required.

What is the difference between Vastu and Astrology?
Vastu studies space: the orientation, proportion and arrangement of a building. Astrology studies the individual: the chart cast for a moment of birth. Different sciences, different methods. That is why VASTRO® keeps them as separate services while also studying the relationship between the two.
Which types of properties does VASTRO® consult for?
Residential: homes, apartments, villas, farmhouses. Commercial: shops, showrooms, hotels, clinics, restaurants. Industrial: factories, plants, warehouses. Corporate: offices, corporate houses, leadership spaces. Healthcare spaces have also come in over the years.
What is the role of Astrology in VASTRO®'s approach?
Astrology is one major pillar of the practice, not the whole of it. Where a personal chart bears on a spatial decision, the timing of a move for instance, or the orientation suited to an occupant, the two are read together. Where it does not, it is left out.

Does every Vastu problem require a remedy?
No. A good many findings are functional and not remedial at all: a use that would sit better in another room, a circulation path that can be adjusted, an entrance that is simply not the one to use daily. A remedy is suggested where the analysis calls for it, and not otherwise.
How does an Astrology consultation work?
It begins with correct birth details: date, exact time, place of birth. The chart is cast and examined across the relevant systems, and the findings are discussed with the client. A written summary can be provided if the client wants one.

Do you guarantee results?
No, and we would treat any practitioner who does with some suspicion. VASTRO® offers analysis, guidance and practical recommendations. Outcomes depend on a great deal besides a space or a chart.

Are consultations held online or on site?
Both. Residential and commercial consultations are frequently conducted on site, which allows the measurement and observation to be made directly. Industrial work generally requires at least one site visit. Remote analysis from plans is possible where a visit is impractical.
