Astrology tool
Ashtakoota Score
Guna Milan is the part of matching most people have heard of and most people over-read. This computes all eight factors and shows the arithmetic, including where the points come from.
Questions
Asked about this tool
Is this the same as kundli matching?
It is one component of it, and the one most often mistaken for the whole. Acharya Narinder's position on this site is that matching is not merely a numerical exercise of Guna Milan, and that compatibility may be studied through the birth charts, planetary relationships, nakshatra considerations and the individual tendencies of both persons.
The score says Nadi is unweighted. Is that a dosha?
It means the Nadi factor scored zero, which is what the arithmetic says. Whether that constitutes a defect in a particular pair depends on the rest of both charts, and there are classical conditions under which it is held to be modified. A form cannot see those.
