Vimshottari Dasha Table
The Vimshottari system divides a life into planetary periods of fixed length. This computes where yours fall on the calendar. It is a timetable, and the table is the output.
Questions
Asked about this tool
Why does my dasha start before my birth?
Because the periods are measured from the opening balance of a cycle already in progress at birth, not from birth itself. The table shows the remainder of the first period, which is usually less than its full length.
Will a difficult period be difficult?
The table gives dates. Two people moving through the same period can have entirely different experiences of it, and the classical literature is candid about that. Anyone who tells you a dasha determines an event is selling something.
